The Sun

We are marvelled at the sun

When I look at the sun, I think about beach, sea, summer holidays, happiness… The sun makes us joyful and gives us smile. It remembers us good moments we have spent or places where we have been and in which we have enjoyed landscapes.

The sun, our star

The sun is a star whose light is the source of life on the earth. Without its light's source, our planet would be dark, cold, and uninhabited. Every morning, the sun rises on the east, and it sets in the west. However, it only moves in appearance. In reality, it’s the earth which turns on itself in 24 hours and gives us this impression that the sun turns. Indeed, the earth also revolves around the sun in 365 days, that is, a year. Nevertheless, the sun keeps also in its gravitational field, eight other planets. So, it is called: “The Solar System”. The visible surface of the sun is named: “The Photosphere”.

Will the sun ever die?

Our life depends on the sun. It gives us light and heat that we need to live.

But, what will the earth become, if the sun might die? Fortunately, we have much time to think about it, because it might happen within 5 billion years!

The sun, will be reder and brighter, and its volume will raise gradually. Temperature, on earth will rise, and there will be world rise in water levels at about 200 meters.

Later, the oceans will start to boil and atmosphere’s air will vanish in the space.

The sun might reach its giant red rise and might absorb Mercure and even Venus.

At the time, each life will disappear. But maybe people will resolve interstellar problems and will certainly live in other solar systems in our Galaxy, and on a planet which looks like the earth!
